Overview

Established in 1966 as the Department of Community Health Sciences, the Department took an early leadership role in developing programs to improve the health of communities. Today, the Department of Community and Family Medicine is a diverse collection of educational, research, and clinical programs which are still united in seeking ways of improving the health of the members of our communities.
 
The Department of Community and Family Medicine is comprised of the following nine interdependent groups:
