Clinical Services

 
Multiple models of health care are provided by members of the Department, including programs in Family Medicine, Community Health, Student Health, Duke Occupational and Environmental Services, and care for those burdened by obesity.
 
    • Clinical and Care Management Programs
      Duke Community Health offers primary care without regard to ability to pay in three types of settings: neighborhood-based clinics, school-based clinics, and in-home medical care and case management.
    • Diet & Fitness Center
      Established in 1969, the Duke Diet and Fitness Center has a long-established reputation among the most highly respected treatment centers in the world for individuals who are overweight and who have a sedentary lifestyle.
    • Employee Assistance Program and Professional and Personal Development Program
      The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Professional and Personal Development Program (PPDP) offer a broad range of workplace, corporate, and personal development services through coaching, consultation, change management, manager development, training, and counseling.
    • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
      Duke Community Health brings communities together to combat chronic disease through multiple, interlocking strategies between health, social service, education, and faith partners.
    • Occupational and Environmental Services
      Duke Occupational and Environmental Medicine provides customized solutions and services to meet all occupational health, safety-related, environmental, and ergonomic needs in the workplace.
    • Student Health
      Duke Student Health provides a wide range of services, including general medical care, women's health care, nutrition counseling, sports medicine, nurse consult, allergy clinic, and travel clinic for Duke students.
