- Jennifer is the Clinical Research Coordinator for the NIH-funded grant - Expanding Quality Care for Glaucoma through a Provider-Patient Partnership. She has been coordinating research studies at Duke for over nine years and is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
Chris Dedam, Software Engineer
- Chris has over 10 years of experience in the software industry. Chris previously worked in the healthcare industry working on generating reports for Medicare. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science from NC State.

- Shelly is the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the NIH-fund grant “Expanding Quality Care for Glaucoma through a Provider-Patient Partnership”. She has been coordinating research studies at Duke for over three years.
Kathy Kimrey, Data Manager
- Kathy spent 12 years of her career in telecommunications prior to joining the research team in Clinical Informatics in 2006. Kathy currently manages several access data bases and performs data collection at study sites for the NIH-funded eye center grants.

- A highly skilled engineer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Chet is responsible for the SEBASTIAN decision support web services and associated Clinical Decision Support applications.

Garry Silvey, BS, Lead Software Engineer
- Garry is highly skilled engineer with over 27 years of experience in both industry and academic settings. Garry has been working at Duke for over 5 years and supports and manages the engineering portions of many of the DCI research projects including COACH HIE, SEBASTIAN CDS, HIT Value, DERICK Kiosks, Medication Management, and the Diabetes and Glaucoma studies.

- Andy is a software engineer with 8 years of experience in both industry and academic settings. Andy is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Software Engineering and he is working on our Eye Center grants where he participates in the design and implementation of the high-tech intervention.
Jan M. Willis, MS, MBA, Research Project Manager
- A Research Project Manager with over 20 years experience in project management in both industry and academic settings. Jan holds a Masters degree in industrial engineering and operations research. She is experienced in process design, operations management, productivity and quality improvement. In her role as Research Project Manager, Jan manages grant-funded research projects in community-based applications of health information technology.
